Question

∆ ABC is a right-angle triangle at B. If tan A = 5/12, then sin A + sin B + sin C will be equal to:

A.

B.

C.

D.

Correct option is B

Given:

tan A = 5/12

Formula Used:

sin A = oppositehypotenuse\frac{opposite}{hypotenuse},  sin B = 1 (since angle B = 90°), sin C =  adjacenthypotenuse\frac{adjacent}{hypotenuse}

Solution:

The hypotenuse using Pythagoras theorem.

Hypotenuse=52+122=25+144=169=13Hypotenuse = \sqrt{5^2 + 12^2}= \sqrt{25 + 144} = \sqrt{169} = 13
