A.

₹1200

B.

₹1143.8

C.

₹1300

D.

₹1144.5

Correct option is D

Given:

A person lost money =18%

He spent money of the remaining = 87%

He left with ₹122

Solution:

Let the person had money = xx

Then he lost 18% of x=0.18x18\% \ of \ x = 0.18x

Remaining money = x0.18x=0.82xx - 0.18x =0.82x

He spent 87% of the remaining = 87% of 0.82x

He is left with 0.82x - 87% of 0.82x = 122

0.82x=0.7134x=1220.82x = 0.7134x = 122

0.1066x=1220.1066x =122

x=1220.1066=1144.4651144.5x= \frac{122}{0.1066} =₹1144.465 \approx₹1144.5
