Given:

Initial number = 45000

First increase = 20%

Second increase = 25%

Formula Used:

Overall % increase = x + y + xy100\frac {xy}{100}

Where, x = first % increase , y = second % increase 

Solution:

Overall % increase = x + y + xy100\frac {xy}{100}

Overall % increase = 20 + 25 + 20×25100\frac {20\times 25}{100}

​​Overall % increase = 45 + 5 = 50%
