    A.

    17 : 14

    B.

    18 : 13

    C.

    9 : 5

    D.

    23 : 20

    Correct option is A

    Given:
    Let C’s salary = 100
    A’s salary is 40% more than C’s salary.
    B’s salary is 70% more than C’s salary.
    Formula Used:
    New Value = Original Value × (1 + Increase% / 100)
    Solution:
    C’s salary = 100
    A’s salary
    = 100 × (1 + 40100\frac{40}{100})
    = 100 × 140100\frac{140}{100}
    = 140
    B’s salary
    = 100 × (1 + 70100\frac{70}{100})
    = 100 × 170100\frac{170}{100}
    = 170
    Required ratio (B : A)
    = 170 : 140
    = 17 : 14
