A man invested 40% of his saving in juice business and remaining into cloth business. After five months, he increased initial investment in cloth business by 50%. At the end of a year, the difference between profit received by man from these two businesses is Rs. 7500. If total profit received by man from juice business is 80% of total investment of that business, then find total saving (in Rs.) of man.

Let total saving of man = 10x Rs.
Initial investment in juice business = 10x ×40/100=4x Rs.
Initial investment in cloth business = 10x – 4x = 6x Rs
Ratio of profit share of juice business to cloth business = 4x ×12 :(6x×5+6x×3/2×7)
= 48x : 93x
= 16 : 31
Let total profit of both business = 47p
ATQ, 47p ×(31-16)/47 = 7500
p = 500
So, total investment in juice business = 500 ×16×100/80=10000 Rs.
4x = 10000
x = 2500
