Question

A, B and C invest sum in the ratio 76 : 37 : 52 respectively. If they earned total profit of ₹ 3850 at the end of year, then what is the difference between share of B and C?

A.

₹203

B.

₹305

C.

₹360

D.

₹350

Correct option is D

Given:

The ratio of investment of A, B, and C is 76:37:52

Total profit earned at the end of the year = ₹3850

Solution:

76 + 37 + 52 = 165

Share of A = 76165×\frac{76}{165} \times 3850

Share of B = 37165×\frac{37}{165} \times 3850

Share of C = 52165×\frac{52}{165} \times 3850

Find the share of B and C

Share of B = 37165×3850=37×3850165=142450165\frac{37}{165} \times 3850 = \frac{37 \times 3850}{165} = \frac{142450}{165} = 862.12

Share of C = 52165×3850=52×3850165=200200165\frac{52}{165} \times 3850 = \frac{52 \times 3850}{165} = \frac{200200}{165} = 1212.12

difference between the share of B and C

Difference = 1212.12 − 862.12 = 350

B and C is ₹350
