    Question

    A, B and C can complete a task in 10, 15 and 18 days respectively. In how many days will all of them complete the same task working together?

    A.

    2

    B.

    92\frac{9}{2}

    C.

    9

    D.

    5125\frac{ 1}{2}

    Correct option is B

    Given:

    A, B and C can complete a task in 10, 15 and 18 days
    Solution:
    First we take LCM of 10,15,18
    LCM =90
    so total work is 90 units
    A work done in 1 day = 9010\frac{90}{10}=9 units

    B work done in 1 day =    9015\frac{90}{15}=6 units

    Similarly ,C work done in 1 day = 9018\frac{90}{18}   =5units
    so A,B,C work done in one 1 day = 9+6+5=20 units
    total work = 90units
    work done by A,B,C together in = 9020=92\frac{90}{20}= \frac{9}{2} days
