କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପରିଷଦ ହେଉଛି ଭାରତ ସରକାରଙ୍କ ମୁଖ୍ୟ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟନିର୍ବାହୀ ଅଙ୍ଗ। ଏହି ପରିଷଦ ଦେଶରେ ପ୍ରଶାସନିକ ଅଧିକାର ପ୍ରୟୋଗ କରିବା ଏବଂ ଭାରତର ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତିଙ୍କୁ ପରାମର୍ଶ ଦେବା ଦାୟିତ୍। ଅଟେ। ଏଥିରେ ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀଙ୍କ ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷତାରେ ଗଠିତ ଏବଂ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟନିର୍ବାହୀ ସରକାରୀ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣାଳୟର ମୁଖ୍ୟ ରହିଛନ୍ତି।ସମ୍ପ୍ରତି ଏହି ପରିଷଦ ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ନରେନ୍ଦ୍ର ମୋଦୀଙ୍କ ନେତୃତ୍ୱରେ ଗଠିତ ଏବଂ ଏଥିରେ ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀଙ୍କ ସମେତ 29 ଜଣ ସଦସ୍ୟ ଅଛନ୍ତି।ଏହା କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ସରକାରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାଥମିକ ନୀତି ନିର୍ଣ୍ଣୟକାରୀ ସଂସ୍ଥା। ଏହା କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ସରକାରଙ୍କ ଚରମ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟନିର୍ବାହୀ ଶକ୍ତି | ଏହା କେନ୍ଦ୍ରୀୟ ପ୍ରଶାସନର ପ୍ରାଥମିକ ସଂଯୋଜକ | ଏହା ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତିଙ୍କୁ ପରାମର୍ଶ ଦେଇଥାଏ ଏବଂ ଏହାର ସୁପାରିଶ ଆଇନଗତ ଭାବରେ ତାଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ବାଧ୍ୟତାମୂଳକ ଅଟେ।

2019 ସାଧାରଣ ନିର୍ବାଚନରେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ବିଜୟ ପରେ ନବ ନିର୍ବାଚିତ ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ନରେନ୍ଦ୍ର ମୋଦୀ 30 ମଇ ଗୁରୁବାର ଦିନ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପରିଷଦ ସହିତ ଶପଥ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଛନ୍ତି।ଭାରତର ସମ୍ବିଧାନ ଅନୁଯାୟୀ, ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପରିଷଦର ମୋଟ ଶକ୍ତି ଲୋକସଭା ସାଂସଦଙ୍କ 15% ରୁ ଅଧିକ ହୋଇପାରିବ ନାହିଁ। 17 ତମ ଲୋକସଭାର ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନର ଶକ୍ତି ହେଉଛି 543 ସଦସ୍ୟ ଏବଂ ତେଣୁ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପରିଷଦ 81 ରୁ ଅଧିକ ହୋଇପାରିବ ନାହିଁ।ଶପଥ ଗ୍ରହଣ ସମୟରେ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପରିଷଦରେ ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଏବଂ 63 ଜଣ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ରହିଛନ୍ତି। 2022 ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପରିଷଦରେ 31 ଜଣ କ୍ୟାବିନେଟ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ, 2 ଜଣ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ (ସ୍ୱାଧୀନ ଚାର୍ଜ) ଏବଂ 47 ଜଣ ରାଜ୍ୟ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଅଛନ୍ତି।
