Railway Group D Exam Date 2025 Out
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will conduct the RRB Group D Exam 2025 under CEN 08/2024 to fill 32,438 Level-1 vacancies across various departments. The positions include Track Maintainer, Pointsman, and Assistant roles in Loco Sheds, Operations, Traction & Luggage (TL), and Air-Conditioning (AC) units. The recruitment process will start with a Computer-Based Test (CBT), tentatively scheduled from 17th November to the end of December 2025, followed by the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification, and Medical Examination.

RRB Group D Exam Admit Card and City Intimation
The RRB Group D Admit Card 2025 will be released on the respective regional RRB portals approximately four days before the exam date. Ahead of this, candidates will be able to access their RRB Group D Exam City Intimation Slip 2025 about 10 days before the exam, which provides details of the allotted city to help them plan their travel. To download both documents, candidates must log in with their registration number and date of birth.
RRB Group D Exam Pattern
The RRB Group D Computer-Based Test (CBT) will include 100 multiple-choice questions spanning Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness & Current Affairs.
The total duration of the exam is 90 minutes, while candidates with disabilities (PwBD) using a scribe will have 120 minutes to complete it. For every wrong answer, one-third of the marks will be deducted as negative marking.

- Exam Schedule: CBT for Level 1 posts under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix will be conducted between 17th November 2025 and the end of December 2025. Exact dates will be updated on official RRB websites closer to the exam.
- Exam City & Travel Authority: The link for checking the exam city and date and downloading the travel authority for SC/ST candidates will go live around 10 days before the exam.
- E-Call Letters: Candidates can download their E-Call Letters approximately 4 days before their scheduled exam date via the Exam City & Date intimation link.
- Aadhaar Authentication: Candidates must undergo Aadhaar-linked biometric verification at the exam centre. Original Aadhaar or e-verified printout must be carried. Candidates can verify and unlock their Aadhaar in advance at www.rrbapply.gov.in to avoid delays.
- Candidate Instructions: Even if Aadhaar verification was done during application submission, candidates should ensure their Aadhaar remains unlocked in the UIDAI system.
