Aircraft (Amendment) Bill, 2020: The Aircraft (Amendment) Bill, 2020 was passed by Parliament. Prior, it was passed in the Lok Sabha on March 17, 2020. The Bill was passed by a voice vote.

The Bill gives legal status to administrative organizations like the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) and the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB).

The administrative organizations

DGCA will complete oversight and administrative capacities.
BCAS will complete administrative oversight elements of the flight security.
AAIB will complete examinations identified with airplane mishaps and occurrences.
The legal status would improve India's flight wellbeing positioning.
The Bill proposed to expand the fine for infringement of rules from ₹10 lakh to ₹1 crore for flight industry players.
The Bill engages the focal government to drop the licenses, declarations or endorsements allowed to an individual under the Act if the individual doesn't pass by any arrangement of the Act.

What is Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA)

It is a legal body framed under the Aircraft (Amendment) Bill, 2020. This organization is engaged to explore aeronautics mishaps and occurrences. Its settle is along the Sri Aurobindo Marg, inverse Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi.

What is Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS)

It is a joined administrative authority of the Ministry of Civil Aviation of India. An official of the position of Director general of police heads the establishment who is assigned as Director general of Security (Civil Aviation). He is liable for the execution, improvement, and support of the National Civil Aviation Security Program.
