Two trains are running in opposite directions on parallel tracks. If their speeds are 50 km/h and 58 km/h , find their relative speed.
    Question

Two trains are running in opposite directions on parallel tracks. If their speeds are 50 km/h and 58 km/h , find their relative speed.

    A.

    20 m/s

    B.

    40 m/s

    C.

    30 m/s

    D.

    50 m/s

    Correct option is C

    Given:

Speed of both the trains = 50km/hr and 58 km/hr

    Formula Used:

If the train are running in opposite direction then relative speed is sum of the speeds

    Solution:

    Relative speed of both trains = 50 +58 = 108km/hr

    Speed in metre per second = 108×518108 \times \frac{5}{18} = 30m/sec
