Question

There are three positive integers A, B, and C, and A is 8 more than C. The sum of A and B is 26, and B is 2 less than C. Find the ratio of A, B, and C, respectively.

A.

2:4:5

B.

6:4:7

C.

9:3:5

D.

5:4:9

E.

9:4:5

Correct option is E

Let C be c
A = c + 8
B = c - 2
ATQ,
c + 8 + c - 2 = 26
2c = 26 - 6
2c = 20
c = 10
So, A = c + 8 = 18
B = c - 2 = 8
C = 10
Required ratio = 18 : 8 : 10
= 9 : 4: 5
