    The surface area of a cube is 1728 cm2^22. Find its volume.
    Question

    The surface area of a cube is 1728 cm2^2. Find its volume.

    A.

    43562\sqrt2 cm3^3

    B.

    34562\sqrt2 cm3^3

    C.

    43562\sqrt2 cm3^3

    D.

    54362\sqrt2 cm3^3

    Correct option is B

    Given:

    Surface Area of cube = 1728 cm²

    Formula Used:

    Surface Area: 6a26a^2 = given surface area

    Volume: a3a^3

    where a is the side length.

    Solution:

    From 6a2=17286a^2 = 1728,

    a2=17286=288a^2 = \frac{1728}{6} = 288

    a = 288=122cm\sqrt{288} = 12\sqrt{2} cm

    Volume = (122)3 (12\sqrt{2})^3

    => (12)3×(2)3/2=1728×22=34562 cm3(12)^3 \times (2)^{3/2} = 1728 \times 2\sqrt{2} = 3456\sqrt{2} \text{ cm}^3

    Thus, the correct option is (b).
