First increase in the price of bike = 10% 

Second increase =  8% 

Formula Used: 

Net percentage = x+y+xy100x+y+\frac{xy}{100}  

Solution: 

x = +10%(increase),  y = +8%(increase) 

net increase  = 

10+8+10×8100 =18+0.8 =18.8%10+8+\frac{10 \times 8}{100} \\ \ \\ = 18+0.8 \\ \ \\ =18.8 \% ​​
