Given: The length of a rectangle is 7 cm and its perimeter is 26 cm.

Formula used:
Area = L × W
Perimeter of a rectangle = 2×\times​(L+W)
where, 
L is length 
W is width.
Solution:
Let the width = W
Perimeter = 2×\times(L+W)
26 = 2(7+ W)
13 = 7 + W
W = 6
So , width is 6 cm
Area = L × W = 7 × 6 = 42 sq. cm.
