Total student appeared = 1800

In a pie chart,

​$$\text { Students appeared for section E} = \frac{ \text{Total Students appeared}}{360^0}\times \text { angle for the students appeared in section E }$$  

Percentage of students appeared  in section E = $$\frac{ \text{Number of Students in Section E}}{ \text{Total appeared students}}\times100$$ ​

As per the question: 

Students appeared for exam in section E = $$\frac{1800}{360^0}\times58^0 = 290$$ 

Now,  Percentage of the Students = $$\frac{290}{1800}\times100= 16.11\%$$
