Question

The following pie chart shows the spending of a country (₹ in crores) on the import of various products during a particular year. Based on the circle graph answer the question given below.

If the amount spent on importing only cereals during the year was ₹5 crores, then what was total approximate amount spent on importing all the various products in that year?

A.

₹20.23 crores

B.

₹24.57 crores

C.

₹18.67 crores

D.

₹21.23 crores

Correct option is B

Given:

In a pie chart

Cereals, 3.5 = ₹50000000(crores)

Solution:

Now,

3.5 = 50000000

0.7 = 10000000

So,

17.2 = 100000007\frac{10000000}{7}×\times172

17.2 = 24.57 crores(approx.)

Thus, option (b) is correct.
