    Question

    The falling height of an object is directly proportional to the square of the time. An object falls 80 cm in 4 seconds. Then in 8 seconds, from how much height (in cm) will the object fall ?

    A.

    420

    B.

    320

    C.

    480

    D.

    360

    Correct option is B

    Height  ∝ (Time)2(Time)^2

    Height = k (Time)2(Time)^2

    80 = k×42\times 4^2

    k = 5

    New height = 5 ×82=320\times 8^2 = 320
