    Question

Study the given line graph and answer the following question.
The given line graph depicts the number of visitors in four parks – A, B, C and D.

If out of the total number of visitors in parks A and C, 50% were females, what was the total number of male visitors in parks A and C?

    A.

    23

    B.

    18

    C.

    20

    D.

    21

    Correct option is A

    Given:

50% of Number of visitors in park A and C were Female

    Solution:

    A and C Number of visitors = 29 + 17 = 46

    50% = 12\frac12

    So, 1 - 12\frac{1}{2} = 12\frac{1}{2} (female)

    So,

    = 46×\times12\frac12

    = 23(female)
