Solution:

Cost of 48 article = Rs. 42 

Selling price of 48 artilce = Rs 40  

Loss = 42 - 40 = 2 Rupees 

Loss percentage = 242×100\frac{2}{42} \times 100  = 10021\frac{100}{21}%​
