Simplify: (23+13)(\frac 23+\frac13)(32+31) × 23 – 13 + 6.
Question

Simplify: (23+13)(\frac 23+\frac13) × 23 – 13 + 6.

A.

29

B.

16

C.

23

D.

10

Correct option is B

Given:

(23+13)×2313+6(\dfrac{2}{3} + \dfrac{1}{3}) \times 23 - 13 + 6

Solution:

Simplifying the fraction addition

23+13=2+13=33=1\frac{2}{3} + \frac{1}{3} = \frac{2+1}{3} = \frac{3}{3} = 1

then,

= 1 × 23 − 13 + 6

= 23− 13 + 6

= 10 + 6

= 16

The simplified value of the expression is 16.

Thus, correct option is (b)
