Question

Lakshman and Bharath start a business by investing Rs. 48,000 and Rs. 72,000, respectively. What is Bharath's share out of an annual profit of Rs. 6,530 ?

A.

Rs. 2,612

B.

Rs. 3,918

C.

Rs. 3,080

D.

Rs. 2,450

Correct option is B

Given:
Lakshman's investment = 48,000
Bharath's investment = 72,000
Concept Used:
Ratio of the profit is same as the ratio of investment.
Solution:
The ratio of investment  =  48,00072,000\frac{48,000}{72,000} = 23\frac{2}{3}
So, the ratio is 2 : 3.
Total profit = 6,530
Now,
The total parts in the profit =  6,5305\frac{6,530}{5} = 1,306.
Bharath's share = 3 ×\times1,306 = 3,918.
So, that the  Bharath's share is ₹3,918.
