17➔ 17 + (1× 7) = 17 + 7 = 24
24➔ 24 + (2 × 4) = 24 + 8 = 32

By the same logic:
x = 38 + (3 × 8) = 38 + 24 = 62
62 + (6 × 2) = 62 + 12 = 74 
Now, y:
y = 74 + (7 × 4) = 74 + 28 = 102
So,  value of  2x + y:
2(62) + 102 = 124 + 102 = 226​​
