In a vessel water is 40% of the milk. When 28 litres of mixture are taken out from the vessel and 10 litres of water is added in the remaining mixture, then quantity of water becomes 60% of the milk. Find the initial quantity of milk?

Let total quantity of milk in vessel initially = 5x
So, total quantity of water in vessel initially = 5x = 2x

x=14 liters
Initial quantity of milk = 5x = 14 ×5=70 liters
