Solution:

Let the maximum marks in both subjects be 100.

Total marks obtained in both subjects = Marks in Mathematics + Marks in Science 

Total marks = 70 + 60 = 130 

Since, the maximum marks in each subject are 100, the total maximum marks in both subjects are 200.
