    Question

If PQRS is a rhombus such that ∠PRQ = 40o^o, then ∠PSQ is:

    A.

    60o^o

    B.

    50o^o

    C.

    40o^o

    D.

    45o^o

    Correct option is B

    Given:

    PQRS is a rhombus.

    ∠PRQ = 40°

    Solution:

Since PQRS is a rhombus, the diagonals bisect the angles at the vertices.

    Therefore, ∠PRQ = ∠PRS.  = 40°

    ∠PSR +  ∠QRP = 180°

    ∠PSR+ ∠PRQ + ∠PRS = 180°

    ∠PSR  + 40° +40°  = 180°

    ∠PSR  = 180°   - 80°

    ∠PSR  = 100°

    ∠PSQ = 100°/2 = 50°
