Solution:
Let a = 2x, b = 7x

(3a + 2b) : (5a - 2b) =3(2x)+2(7x)5(2x)2(7x) \frac{3(2x) + 2(7x)}{5(2x) - 2(7x)}

=6x+14x10x14x=20x4x=5= \frac{6x + 14x}{10x - 14x} = \frac{20x}{-4x} = -5​​
