Given:

Solution:

$$\frac{9}{12}= \frac{12}{x}$$  

x = 16 

And 

$$\frac{28}{42}= \frac{42}{y}$$ 

y = 63 

Then the value of   2x + y  = $$2\times16 + 63 = 95$$
