If 13\frac{1}{3}31 of A = 34\frac{3}{4}43 of B = 16\frac{1}{6}61 of C, then what is A : B : C?
Question

If 13\frac{1}{3} of A = 34\frac{3}{4} of B = 16\frac{1}{6} of C, then what is A : B : C?

A.

4 : 9 : 18

B.

9 : 18 : 4

C.

9 : 4 : 18

D.

18 : 9 : 4

Correct option is C

Given:

13A=34B=16C\frac{1}{3}A = \frac{3}{4}B = \frac{1}{6}C

Solution:
Let the common value be x.

Then,

A=3x,B=43x,C=6xA = 3x, \quad B = \frac{4}{3}x, \quad C = 6x

A : B : C = 3x:43x:6x=9:4:183x : \frac{4}{3}x : 6x = 9 : 4 : 18 (multiplying all by 3)
