Given:

$$10\% \text{ of } 980 - x\% \text{ of } 450 = 5\% \text{ of } 160$$

Solution:

$$\frac{10}{100}\times980 - \frac{x}{100} \times 450 = \frac{5}{100}\times 160\\ \ \\98 - 8 = \frac{x}{100} \times 450\\ \ \\90 = \frac{x}{100} \times 450$$  

$$x = \frac{9000}{450} = 20$$
