Given:

Giri complete  the work = 6 Day

Giri + Friends complete the work = 4 day

Concept Used: 

The combined work rate is the sum of the individual work rates.

Work rate is the reciprocal of the time taken to complete the work.

Solution: 

Giri work rate = 16\frac{1}{6} 

Giri + Friend work rate = 14\frac{1}{4} 

Work rate of friend ;

=1416=3212=112=\frac{1}{4} - \frac{1}6 = \frac{ 3 - 2}{12} = \frac{1}{12} 

Giri's friend complete the work in 12 days 

Alternate Method:

Total work = 24 

Friends done work = 242\frac{24}2 = 12 Days
