A.

x - 3

B.

x + 8

C.

x – 8

D.

x + 18

Correct option is D

Given:

x + 77, x + 7, x + 5, x + 3 and x – 2

Formula used:

Mean = Sum of all termsNumber of terms\frac{\text {Sum of all terms}}{\text{Number of terms}}

Solution:

Mean = x+77+x+7+x+5+x+3+x25\frac{x + 77 + x + 7 + x + 5 + x + 3 + x – 2}{5}

Mean = 5x+905\frac{5x + 90}{5}

Mean = 5x5+905\frac{5x}{5} + \frac{90}{5}

Mean = x + 18

Thus, option (d) is correct.
