The area of rectangle = a × b (Where a = Length of the rectangle and b = Breadth of the rectangle)
Solution:
In given figure
=> The area of the base of the cuboid = 80 × 30 = 2400 sq. cm.
=> The area of the side faces of the cuboid = 2 × (30 × 40) = 2 × 1200 = 2400 sq. cm.
=> The area of the backside of the cuboid = 40 × 80 = 3200 sq. cm.
=> The color paper required to cover the all required area = 2400 + 2400 + 3200 = 8000 sq. cm.
∴ The required result will be 8000 sq. cm.
