As many as 84 generic medicine shops were opened across the state on the inaugural day of the scheme.

As many as 84 generic medicine shops were opened across the state on the inaugural day of the scheme.

Sol. The Tamil Nadu government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) to obtain life certificates from Pensioners through the Postal Department’s Door Step Services.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, TN’s Minister for Finance and Human Resources Management, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
As per the agreement, the IPPB would render the doorstep services at a cost of ₹70 per digital life certificate, an official release said. Over 7.15 lakh State government pensioners/ family pensioners submit their life certificate during July, August and September every year for annual mustering.
