World Pulses Day 2022: संयुक्त राष्ट्रांनी नियुक्त केलेला जागतिक कडधान्य दिन (World Pulses Day) दरवर्षी 10 फेब्रुवारी रोजी साजरा केला जातो. जागतिक अन्न म्हणून कडधान्यांचे (कोरडे सोयाबीन, मसूर, सुके मटार, चणे, ल्युपिन) यांचे महत्त्व ओळखण्यासाठी संयुक्त राष्ट्रांच्या अन्न आणि कृषी संघटनेने (Food and Agriculture Organization- FAO) या दिवसाची स्थापना केली आहे.

World Pulses Day 2022 History: 2018 मध्ये, यूएन जनरल असेंब्लीने 10 फेब्रुवारी हा जागतिक कडधान्य दिन म्हणून साजरा करण्याचा निर्णय घेतला. पहिला WPD 10 फेब्रुवारी 2019 रोजी आयोजित करण्यात आला होता. 20 डिसेंबर 2013 रोजी, UN महासभेने 2016 हे आंतरराष्ट्रीय कडधान्य वर्ष (IYP) म्हणून घोषित करणारा ठराव (A/RES/68/231) स्वीकारला. युनायटेड नेशन्स (FAO) च्या अन्न आणि कृषी संघटनेच्या नेतृत्वाखाली या वर्षाच्या उत्सवाने शाश्वत अन्न उत्पादनाचा एक भाग म्हणून डाळींच्या पौष्टिक आणि पर्यावरणीय फायद्यांबद्दल लोकांमध्ये जागरूकता वाढवली.
