APPSC Group 1 Exam 2020: APPSC is the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission Exam. The Andhra Pradesh Govt. is the body that is responsible for conducting the APPSC Exams each year. The APPSC Group 1 Exam is conducted to recruit the officers in the A.P. State Government Departments. Through these services, the appointed officers serve society at large.
Update On APPSC Gr I 2019-20 Exam: The APPSC
Mains Exam 2019-20 was to be conducted in April 2020. But due to the COVID 19 Outbreak as well as the lockdown prevailing in the country, the exam is deferred till further notice. Earlier, they were scheduled to take place from February 4, 2020, onwards; later, the dates were revised to April 7, 2020.
APPSC Group 1 2020 notification is not out yet. We will update the dates for APPSC Group 1 Prelims and Group 1 Mains 2020 once the official notification it out.

APPSC Group 1 2020: Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must be of sound health, active habits, and free from any bodily defect or infirmity rendering him / her unfit for such service. The minimum qualification is that the candidates must be a graduate from the any recognized university of India.
Educational Qualification
There are some posts which require additional qualifications. Check the special educational qualifications as mentioned below.
District Fire OfficersÂ
Degree in Engineering (Fire) of any University recognized by the UGC or any other equivalent qualifications. Provided that if no candidates with B.E (Fire) qualifications are available, candidates with the Degree in any discipline will be considered.
Assistant Treasury Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer
A degree in Commerce or Economics or Mathematics of a University Recognised by the UGC with at least a 2nd class in the subject, or A Chartered Accountants of the United Kingdom or India or an incorporated Accountant (London)

Must possess a bachelor’s Degree of any University in India.

How To Apply For APPSC Group 1 Exam 2020?
For applying to any APPSC exam, candidates have to follow the steps given below:
- Go to the official website, or click on the link given below.
- Complete One-Time-Profile-Registration (OTPR) process.
- On the page that opens up, click on New Registration for Direct Recruitment.
- The candidates will have to enter the following information: Aadhaar Details, Basic Details, Address Details, Educational Qualifications, Photo and Signature Upload, etc.
- Review the entered information carefully and click on Submit.
- The Reference Id will be generated and displayed on a screen.
- Go to Login page and enter your credentials
- Fill the details asked in the form and verify them
- Submit the application and complete the payment process.
- After payment is successful, the payment reference id will be generated
- Submit the form and save/print the application receipt.
- Use the application receipt for any future reference/correspondence.
APPSC Group 1 2020: Selection Process
Like the UPSC IAS Exam, the APPSC conducts the APPSC Group 1 exam in the following three stages.
- Prelims Exam: This stage is used to filter out the candidates to be selected for the next stage.
- Mains Exam: It is the merit deciding round.
- Interview:Â It tests the thorough knowledge of the candidates of their expertise subject.
The candidates will have to clear each stage of the exam to be eligible to be recruited as an APPSC Group 1 Officer.

- The APPSC Prelims Exam will have two papers.
- All the questions will be objective in nature.
- There will be 120 questions in each paper.
- Both the papers will be of 120 marks each.
- Each Paper will be of 2 Hours.
- For each wrong answer, there will be a penalty of 1/3rd of the marks prescribed for the question.
