The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released a notification regarding the rescheduling of the Selection Post Phase-XIII Examination 2025. This update impacts nearly 59,500 candidates whose earlier attempts were disrupted due to technical issues during the July–August 2025 exam sessions. To ensure fairness, SSC has decided to conduct a re-examination on 29 August 2025. This move reflects the commission’s commitment to maintaining transparency, integrity, and equal opportunity in its recruitment process.
SSC Selection Post Phase-XIII Re-Exam Notice
SSC will re-conduct the Computer-Based Examination (CBE) for Phase-XIII Selection Post recruitment. Only candidates whose exams were impacted by serious issues such as server breakdowns, biometric verification mismatches, or sudden test centre changes will be eligible for this re-exam.
The re-exam will allow these candidates to attempt the test again without being penalized for factors beyond their control. SSC has clarified that unaffected candidates, whose exams were conducted smoothly, will not have to reappear.
Why This Is Happening?
The re-examination decision comes after reports of multiple irregularities during the initial exam period. Candidates faced problems such as:
- Delayed logins due to technical errors.
- Server crashes resulting in incomplete or disrupted tests.
- Biometric mismatches preventing entry at exam centres.
- Abrupt last-minute changes in allocated exam centres.
Although these issues were limited to specific sessions and centres, SSC decided to uphold fairness by offering affected candidates another chance. By doing so, the commission is reinforcing its policy of transparency and candidate welfare, ensuring that no aspirant suffers because of administrative or technical faults.

Candidates should pay close attention to the revised timeline released by SSC to avoid missing important updates.

What can Candidates do now?
Candidates who have been allotted the re-exam must take the following steps seriously to ensure a smooth examination experience.
- Download Admit Card on Time: From 26 August 2025, hall tickets will be available on SSC’s official and regional websites. Avoid waiting until the last moment to prevent server delays.
- Verify All Information: Double-check your name, roll number, exam date, centre, and reporting time printed on the admit card to avoid confusion.
- Carry Necessary Documents: Bring a printed copy of the admit card, a valid government-issued ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, Driving License, etc.), and any additional documents or declarations specified by SSC.
- Reach Centre Early: Arrive at the venue well in advance to smoothly complete biometric verification, security checks, and seating arrangements. Latecomers may not be permitted entry.
- Stay Informed: Regularly check SSC’s official website and regional office notifications for any last-minute updates regarding venue changes, timings, or instructions.
By conducting this re-exam, SSC has shown its commitment to safeguarding the interests of aspirants. Over the years, technical disruptions have occasionally raised concerns among candidates. This corrective action demonstrates that the commission values the credibility of its exams and ensures a level playing field for all.
