The Teacher Recruitment Board has finally released the TNTET Notification 2025 on its official website on 11 August 2025. As per the schedule, the online application for Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) has been initiated from 11 August 2025 onwards on the official portal @trb.tn.gov.in.

TNTET 2025 – Exam Summary
To be eligible for the Tamil Nadu State Level Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), for every candidate must fulfil the eligibility requirements in terms of educational qualification and age limit.

For Teacher Eligibility Test Paper 1 (1st To 5th Class)

Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). |

Any candidate who has qualified B.Ed. programme, recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TNTET. Additionally, existing TET guidelines (issued under NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010) apply for other candidates pursuing teacher education courses recognised by the NCTE or the RCI. |
AGE Limit
The candidates must be a minimum of 18 years old as of 01 July 2025. There is no upper age limit
