When an empty inverted beaker (completely filled with air) is pressed down on water, air present inside the beaker will not allow the entry of water. However, when the beaker is tilted, some air comes out of it leaving space for water to enter. In the second case, tying two balloons to a rod for equilibrium and then deflating one of them will destabilise the equilibrium created. This experiment shows that air has weight.
