    Question

    Which of the following equations is INCORRECT?

    A.

    8 × 3 + 63 ÷ 9 – 6 = 25

    B.

    42 ÷ 6 + (2 × 5) × 1 + 9 = 26

    C.

    13 – 7 + 8 × 9 + 63 ÷ 7 = 86

    D.

    9 × 4 + (12 + 2) – 30 ÷ 3 = 40

    Correct option is C

    Solution:

    From option(a):

    8 × 3 + 63 ÷ 9 – 6 = 25

    8 × 3 + 7 – 6 = 25

    24 + 7 – 6 = 25

    25 = 25

    This is correct,

    From option(b):

    42 ÷ 6 + (2 × 5) × 1 + 9 = 26

    7 + 10 + 9 = 26

    26 =26

    This is correct,

    From option(c):

    13 – 7 + 8 × 9 + 63 ÷ 7 = 86

    13 – 7 + 72 + 9 = 86

    6 + 72 + 9 = 86

    87 = 86

    This is incorrect.

    From option(d):

    9 × 4 + (12 + 2) – 30 ÷ 3 = 40

    36 + 14 – 10 = 40

    36 + 4 = 40

    40 = 40

    Thus, Option(c) is correct.
