· Pokhran-II refers to a sequence of five nuclear bomb test explosions conducted by India on between 11-13th May 1998 at Rajasthan's Pokhran desert.
· Code name of Pokhran-II was Operation Shakti, this was India's 2nd successful attempt.
· At that time,the Indian government led by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
