Given:

Ratio of the number is = 3:2

LCM and HCF is =24 and 4 respectively 

Formula used:

Number1×Number2 = LCM×HCF

Solution:

Let be the number is = 3xx and 2x2x

24×4 = 3xx×2x2x 

96= 6x26x^2 

x2=966=16x^2= \frac{96}{6}=16 

x=16=4x= \sqrt16=4

So the greater number is = 3×4 =12

Thus the correct answer is (B)
