    Question

This question is based on the five, three-digit numbers given below.
    (Left) 514 414 422 875 167 (Right)
    (Example: 697 – First digit = 6, second digit = 9 and third digit = 7)
(Note: All operations to be done from left to right.)
What will be the resultant if the second digit of the highest number is subtracted from the second digit of the lowest number?

    A.

    2

    B.

    1

    C.

    –1

    D.

    –2

    Correct option is C

    Given: (Left) 514 414 422 875 167 (Right)
    Highest number = 875
    Lowest number = 167
The second digit of the highest from the second digit of the lowest.
    Second digit of 875 = 7
    Second digit of 167 = 6
    6 − 7 = - 1
So, - 1 will be the resultant if the second digit of the highest number is subtracted from the second digit of the lowest number.
    Thus, correct option is (c).
