Question

This question is based on the five, three-digit numbers given below.
(Left) 307 485 194 237 937 (Right)
(Example: 697 – First digit = 6, second digit = 9 and third digit = 7)
(Note: All operations to be done from left to right.)
What will be the resultant if the third digit of the highest number is subtracted from the first digit of the lowest number?

A.

−7

B.

−3

C.

−6

D.

−5

Correct option is C

Given: (Left) 307 485 194 237 937 (Right)
Highest = 937
Lowest = 194
Third digit of highest number (937) = 7
First digit of lowest number (194) = 1
Subtract: First digit of lowest − Third digit of highest
= 1 − 7 = - 6
So, - 6 will be the resultant if the third digit of the highest number is subtracted from the first digit of the lowest number.
Thus, correct option is (c).
