Five times one is equal to 4 times the other
Solution:
Let the first number be x and second number be y
According to given condition,
5x = 4y
we know
x+y = 36
5x+5y = 180
4y+ 5y= 180
9y = 180
y = 20

5x = 4y
5x = 80
x= 16
The greater number be 20.
