Let the speed of P and Q be 5x kmph and 8x kmph respectively.
ATQ,
D=3×5x=15x ……..(I)
Also, D+40=2.5×8x
D=20x-40 …………..(II)
Solving (I) and (II),
15x=20x-40
x=8
So, D=15x=120 km
