The two numbers for the mean proportional are 9 and 4.
Formula Used:
Fourth Proportional of a, b and c= b×ca\frac{b \times c} a
Mean Proportional of m and n = mn\sqrt{m n}
Solution:
Fourth Proportional =8×122=962=48= \frac{8 \times 12}{2} = \frac{96}{2} = 48
Mean Proportional =9×4=36=6\sqrt{9 \times 4} = \sqrt{36} = 6
