Correct option is C
Given:
The monthly income of two persons Anuj and Mathew, is in the ratio 5 : 7 and their expenditures are in the ratio 2 : 3
Concept Used:
Savings = Monthly Income – Monthly Expenditure
Solution:
Let the monthly income of one person Anuj be 5x and that of the Mathew, be 7x
Let the monthly expenses of Anuj be 2y and that of Mathew, be 3y
According to the question,
5x – 2y = 10000 ............. (1)
7x – 3y = 10000 ............. (2)
On adding 2×eqn(2) with 3×eqn(1) , We get
x = 10000
y = 20000
Monthly income of Anuj;
= 5 × 10000
= ₹50000
