    Question

    If 20% of first number is equal to four-fifths of second number, what is the ratio of first number to the second number?

    A.

    1 : 6

    B.

    4 : 1

    C.

    6 : 2

    D.

    7 : 4

    Correct option is B

    Given:

    20% of first number = 45\frac{4}{5} of second number

    Find ratio: First Number : Second Number

    Solution:

    20% of A = 45\frac45 of B

    15A=45B\frac{1}{5}A = \frac{4}{5}B

    A = 4B

    So,

    A : B = 4 : 1
