Question

The length of a rectangular shaped park exceeds its breadth by 15 m. If the perimeter of the park is 110 m, find the length of the park (in m).

A.

20

B.

35

C.

25

D.

40

Correct option is B

Given:
Length of rectangular park is 15 m more than its breadth
Perimeter of park is 110 m.
Formula Used:
Perimeter = 2(L+B)
Solution:
Let the breadth be x m
Then, its length is (x+15) m
2(x+x+15)=110
4x+30=110
4x=80
x=20m
Length= x+15= 35m
